The architectural process is more than the initial drawing, buildings are complex and we work with you at each stage to make your vision a reality.
No two clients are the same; each having their own set of requirements and uses. We are a practice who strives to provide a unique service – working closely with our clients, to ensure each creative stage is a two way process that starts from the initial introductory meeting.
Following on from the initial visit where we discuss your thoughts and requirements to define a brief, we carry out a rough survey and work up a number of options that “best suit” your budget and objectives. Once prepared, we sit down and discuss the ideas, based on integrated feedback a final scheme is drawn up to align with design and budget.
Having now devised and agreed a scheme strategy and budget, these will be worked up in greater detail. Where planning permission is required, we will submit an application. Where necessary, the project can be further modeled to ensure a thorough understanding of what the space will look like in three dimensions.
Now comes the fun part! Some clients will already have a strong idea on the type of finishes and fittings they would like. At this stage we start to investigate the proposed materials to be used in conjunction to one another and suggested finishes together with information on where and how to get them. This will allow for accurate prices from tendering builders.
Choosing a builder
A good builder is crucial in making your built project a success, we develop a package for a selection of builders to provide a quote for. A builder should not be chosen on lowest price alone, and at this point we analyse the quotes and provide recommendations for you to consider.
Once a price has been agreed, a contract between you and the builder can be put in place. We can act as contract administrator to protect your interests. We will then work in close relationship with the builder to ensure that the standard of construction and end result meets your requirements. Constantly continuing close consultation with you and attending scheduled site visits we are able to maintain both care and control of the overall vision of the project.
