Budget planning is a critical part of the home improvement process and we pride ourselves on being open and transparent at every stage of the project.
1. Right at the outset, we will provide you with an estimate of how much the type of work you envisage is likely to cost. Our experience of so many similar projects allows us to forecast such outlays extremely accurately. This is a critical and transparent step in the budget process, ensuring that you are aware of the commitment required to turn your design vision into reality.
2. For the initial set-up meeting, we charge a fee of £125 (ex VAT). This covers a site visit where we review your property, listen to your needs and discuss likely options relative to the statutory and spatial constraints of the site in question. (It’s a meeting that usually lasts 60-minutes or so.) We then come back to you with an initial report outlining your brief, likely timeframes and our fees.
3. Once appointed and our remit is agreed, we cost each element of the project on a separate lump-sum basis. This ensures there are no hidden charges and provides you with budget flexibility over the level of service and quality of build you require. And, if the job spec changes for any reason, it ensures that you and we have clear parameters within which to make any budget adjustments.
4. If we are contracting builders or other suppliers on your behalf, we do this on a competitive tender basis where applicable. This ensures you have sight of original supplier estimates and can then engage and pay them directly.
