Planning Approval for Two New Projects
Formed Architects have just received planning consent for two new projects that were both tricky boroughs to gain approval in.
The first project is a narrow three storey terrace residential refurbishment project in Richmond. The client wanted to maximise their space to accommodate an additional bedroom and shower room at first floor and more internal space to rear at ground floor to gain a more open plan kitchen. How we did this was by proposing a loft conversation with box dormer, single storey rear and first floor rear extension. Anyone who lives in Richmond knows how contentious it is to do first floor extension, especially within tight restrictive sites.
The second project is a single family home refurbishment project in Wokingham. The client wanted to maximise their space to facilitate an open plan kitchen/dining/living, complete with utility within a new single storey rear extension. In addition to this, our proposal incorporated a walk-on terrace above the new single storey rear extension. Again, it is very contentious to gain consent for a terrace to be approved on a 1990’s development.
We’re excited to bring these projects to life!
